We prepare wholesome tasty home cooked food
We are first and foremost a pub, we try to prepare wholesome tasty home cooked food in generous sized portions, locally sourced from well respected suppliers that we have been using for years. We only use two suppliers for all our meat, the Venison Centre at Bwlch and Cashells in Crickhowell. Our menu is full of traditional pub favourites, as well as the ever popular steak on a stone.
Food is served Fri/Sat 6-9 PM and Saturday lunchtime 12.30 – 2 PM only.

The speciality of the house are our hot rocks, these are various steaks or halloumi cheese served on a 400 degree centigrade lava stone, you have a choice of chips, jacket potato or cous cous, accompanied with onions, mushrooms, tomato’s and a salad garnish.

We always have a selection of tasty puddings available, priced at £5.95
Due to an increasing number of customers bringing their own cakes, we have decided to implement a charge of £2 per head for cakeage, this is to cover our costs of extra plates, serviettes etc. and loss of revenue.
